Tobermory Lighthouse Path

The Lighthouse Path is now open!

The Lighthouse Path re-opened to the public on 16th November 2017. Heather Blaine officially cut the ribbon on the sunny morning and a group of people and their dogs took advantage of the weather and walked out to  Rubha nan Gall Lighthouse. We hope that everyone will enjoy using the path once again and if the path is important to you, please consider making a donation to help us cover the funding gap.

Mull and Iona Community Trust received funding from Improving Public Access Fund  to engage with local contractors to carry out work to repair and rebuild the path to Rubha nan Gall Lighthouse. A designated Core Path by Argyll and Bute Council, this is a very popular walking route in Tobermory.

Special thanks to: The Northern Lighthouse Board and Glensanda Quarry for the donation and delivery of over 80 helicopter loads of aggregate for the footpath, and Scottish Sea Farms for helping us move materials and equipment on their barge.
