Delivering successful community development projects; addressing problems of geographic isolation and economic and social exclusion in remote and rural communities.
As a Charity, we rely on a combination of grants and earned income from enterprising activities (like Island Castaways, the Self-Storage business at Craignure and rental of office and desk space at An Roth in Craignure). Charitable donations help bridge the gap and will help to ensure that we continue to be able to support our local communities.
As a charity, we rely greatly on the support of our members. There are currently over 300 individual members of the Trust, with many involved directly with projects steering groups and volunteering. We also use our membership numbers to demonstrate the level of support we have for the work we do on the islands.
